National Action Plans (NAPs) were conceived to strengthen accountability for and guide implementation of the UNSCR 1325. As of June 2019, 25 AU Member States have adopted UNSCR 1325 National Action Plans. Namibia is the last country to launch its National Action Plan in July 2018 and was officially finalized in April 2019. The AU Commission does not have a dedicated action plan for implementation of UNSCR 1325, however it has supported UNSCR 1325 through embedding its principles in its range of policies, conventions, and protocols.
